I posted this on Facebook, I felt that it should be saidJohn NapolitanoI think that this should be said and I know that it would not be said by a Firefighter, in their vocabulary it is always "we" not "me"..they thank each other for a job done well, although it would be appreciated, they do not seek the "Thanks" from others, they get their "Thanks" when they save a life..I learned much through my Son.. I was once a Cop, but my connection to the Fire Service, is throu...gh my Son who was a Firefighter with the FDNY, and the Lakeland Fire Department, in Ronkonkoma New York..On 9/11 the FDNY donated 343 of it's Hero's in their Heroic efforts to save Lives, Fire Departments across our Great Nation donate blood, sweat, tears, and Lives to save others. On 9/11 FDNY Rescue2 lost Seven of it Valiant Firefighters, my Son Lt John P Napolitano among them..recently two Rescue 2 Firefighters were critically injured..now it's our turn to donate a little back..$2 can go a long way in helping Firefighter Families..please contribute to a worthy cause..one dollar for the word "THANK and one more dollar for the word.."YOU"..https://www.paypal.com/cgi-bin/webscr?cmd=_s-xclick&hosted_button_id=KV38QB7K6UVBQ |

Attempted to give blood this AM at the NY Blood Center in Melville LI. Was told that I needed a DR. to fill out and sign a form for my blood (O Neg.) to go to FDNY Fireman. Anyone have any info on this? |
